Thanks for reading our weekly email!
Each week we connect you with the details that you need to know for worship and for the rest of our life together.
Join us for worship this week - in person and on our livestream!
This Memorial Sunday is our annual sharing service. Each year we are strengthened and encouraged by hearing from one another as we look back and remember how God has been at work in our lives (personally and collectively as a church community) throughout this past program year. In light of the mass shooting at Robb Elementary in Uvalde, Texas this past Tuesday that left 19 children and 2 teachers dead, just days after ten people were killed in a racially motivated shooting at a local grocery store in Buffalo, New York, one day before a shooting in a Taiwanese American church in Irvine, CA, our ministry team felt it important to create space in our worship for lament before we can reflect on our own lives. For those who may be unfamiliar with the biblical practice of lament, let me reuse a quote from our sermon series two years ago entitled, Cry Out: “Laments are prayers of petition arising out of need. But lament is not simply the presentation of a list of complaints, nor merely the expression of sadness over difficult circumstances. Lament in the Bible is a liturgical response to the reality of suffering and engages God in the context of pain and trouble." (Prophetic Lament, Dr. Soong Chan Rah) Please join us. Pastor Anne

Be sure to stay for Fellowship Time following worship. We have coffee and treats just for you!

Graduate Bibles are back!
Bibles are available in Upper Fellowship Hall to highlight and sign a life verse for our high school grads.

This year we're introducing Adopt-A-Grad. Adopt-a-Grad is a really simple idea…high school graduates from FCC are matched with a person or family from our church who will pray for and encourage them during their first post-high school year. So, if you are a graduate and would like to be prayed for and supported in the next year by an FCC individual or family, click on the "adoptee" links below and return your form to Aaron Nosich. If you or your family is interested in supporting a graduate through prayer and encouragement, check out the "adopter" information below and return the form to Aaron Nosich. Hard copies are available on the table in Upper Fellowship Hall.

FCC COMMUNITY COVID UPDATE

Based on recent CDC recommendations and the significant decrease in COVID patients hospitalized in the Twin Cities, we are adjusting our masks requirements. While in the building you may choose to mask at any time, informed by personal level of risk.

We have received several reports of folks within the First Covenant community testing positive for COVID-19 in the last week. We are strongly encouraging everyone who joins us for worship this weekend to wear a face mask while in the building. If you or a family member are ill, please join us for worship on our livestream. Let's help keep one another safe and healthy during this time.

The First Covenant Church office is open Tuesday - Thursday from 9:00am - 3:00pm. If you have questions, please email the office (office@first-covenant.org) or call (651)774-0344.
