A Double Header June 4 - National Trails Workday
and the CCMR Annual Fundraiser Party


National Trails Workday - This is your opportunity to celebrate National Trails Day on one of the most iconic single track trails in the U.S. - The Rainbow Trail.
     CCMR, Salida Mountain Trails (SMT), and the U.S. Forest Service-Salida Ranger District are hosting a special workday to celebrate National Trails Day. 
     We'll provide tools and training, plus transportation between the CR108 parking lot and work sites. Lunch provided courtesy of event sponsors Sweetie's Sandwich Shop and Soulcraft Brewing.  We will also provide workday volunteers with a commemorative Rainbow Trail hat.

CCMR Annual Fundraiser Party - Good fun and great raffle and door prizes. New CCMR stickers available with membership - dated and color coordinated with the OHV stickers. Buy a T-shirt, purchase raffle tickets, and maybe win a door prize. Business and individual supporters have donated some great auction items to help raise funds. Thanks as always for your support - hope to see you there!

The Dirt - On this workday, CCMR volunteers will ride in and work on the Sand Gulch to Pot-O-Gold section.  The USFS requested this work to widen the section closest to Sands Gulch where people are coming off trail; this is a safety issue.  Volunteers working with OHV crew members will build single log crib walls along this section.  The OHV crew will prep this site with materials.  CCMR volunteers with 4WD vehicles will also be needed to shuttle people and tools up CR108.  SMT will have trail crew leaders and trainers and a large crew that will work the section from CR108 to the SMT reroute (Seep).
