Centro de Vida Sana B3

The idea of a lifestyle center was born last year while Ana and Elizabeth were offering basic natural treatments on their Bible study visits. Elizabeth, a nurse, and both girls having studied the LIGHT program at Instituto Quebrada Leon (IQL), saw the benefits of including treatment for physical ailments alongside the spiritual lessons. Ana also noticed during her few weeks colporteuring over summer break that among her team, many were rejected at the door. However, IQL graduates always had a good reception because they offered their skills in meeting people’s physical needs as well as addressing spiritual topics.

Last November, the B3 team (what we call GMA locally here in Bolivia) began looking for more teammates and praying about the right location for the lifestyle center. God sent Elizabet and Luz to join the team earlier this year and led the team to the town of Independencia, a 5-hr. drive from Cochabamba. God provided a beautiful place with a large building left over from a previous NGO. The town gave the team permission to lease the building free of charge for one year, with subsequent use a possibility. Modesto and Wilson pitched in to help fix up and set up the center. In early May, Centro de Vida Sana B3 opened officially and began accepting patients.

Downstairs there is an open patio with a kitchen, a bunkroom, a treatment room, and a reception room off of it. Upstairs, there is a bedroom for the ladies and a large meeting room.

This year, the ladies will take turns working at the Lifestyle Center (out-patient) and doing Bible studies in the community. Modesto is floating between several projects and will eventually come down to Rurrenabaque and help with building construction once we buy land. Jonathan and Wilson are focusing in on the most remote mountain communities where the medical team has been working, taking a week or ten days at a time to live and work with the people and encourage them spiritually through Bible study and prayer. The other half of the month they will be based in Independencia, assisting with a 10-day in-patient program.

Thank you for supporting this hardworking team of Bible workers with your finances and prayers. They are truly fighting on the front lines of the spiritual soul-winning battle! I look forward to sharing their stories with you throughout the year.
Here’s a little note from Elizabet, Director of the Centro de Vida Sana B3:
“Our first guests have finished their therapies and, thanks to God, have felt much better and seen improvements in their health. That motivates us a lot to keep going because we can see God working and blessing his children in a big way. Please keep us in your prayers!”
