Summer Happenings!
Hello Friends of the Croatian Cultural Society of Minnesota!

Our planning committee has been busy thinking of events for our community this year now that the pandemic has gone into the endemic phase. There may be opportunities to do a wine tasting, a history of Croatian dance with a kolo dance class, and a Zoom event with Croatian authors. The next planned event is a Croatian Sign Paint Workshop where we will stencil a sign with a Croatian saying Dobro došli  (Welcome).  Please join us and bring your friends!  Here is the link to get more information and sign up: Design Gallery (prettylittlesigns.com).  Sign up must be completed by June 20th to get the stencils made in time for our event.

Don't forget about the 2022 Slavic Experience that will be held in Minneapolis at Boom Island on Sat/Sun August 20th and 21st.  It looks like it will be a enjoyable event that will help raise funds for the Ukrainian community.

A big thank you to Jean Dixon and Dianne Kuiti for their recent donations on behalf of the Ukrainian community. The Croatian Cultural Society of Minnesota will be matching their donations and forwarding it to the Croatian Fraternal Union to support the Ukrainians living in Croatia.

We can't continue this organization without all the wonderful volunteers who help us with the Festivals, the Christmas party, the Friends of the IHRC and many other events as they come up. Jasmine Hoedeman has created a virtual Sign-Up Sheet for you to show a preference where you'd like to help out.

There is still an opportunity for a paid intern to help us with some of our tasks.   If you know of any young person, let them know of this paid opportunity.

Please join us at our monthly planning meeting on Monday, June 25th at 7:00 pm am via Zoom to plan activities for the upcoming year.  All are welcomed to attend (even if you live in greater Minnesota!)

Looking forward to seeing you all soon at some of our events.

Pozdrav,

Andrea Novak Neumann

Volunteer Opportunities

Check out what you can do to help!
Our organization has been asked to participate in the 2022 Slavic Experience, but we have not had any volunteers offer to assist us with this event.  As a result, we will not be participating this year.  Our organization depends on volunteers to continue to maintain an active presence in the community.

Please take a minute and fill out this sign up form. We would like to create committees to share the tasks among us. Also new Board Members are welcome to serve and grow the Croatian community. Please contact us via email.   Everyone has talents and we'd love to have your contributions.
