Seeds

We are all partners in planting seeds. And we have been planting seeds together for over 16yrs all around the world.  And over the years we have watched seeds sprout, grow and reach maturity, spreading more seeds among some of the world's neediest people. As witnesses, how wonderful is it to testify about a God that is faithful to His Word, yesterday, today and tomorrow. In this truth, our faith increases!

Yesterday- In 2021 my friend and colleague, Anita, joined me on a 3 day Trauma Healing conference among the South Sudanese Refugees in northern Uganda. We were met with wildly receptive hearts. We watched as the Lord healed the desperate and quieted the noises and suffering of minds tormented by guilt and fear. Seeds were planted. And hope found in Christ Jesus, bloomed.

Today -  A few days back, Pastor Martin Kuku (our CRI Missionary Partner in Uganda) reached out to share a tragic story. There were two cattle herders in South Sudan and an argument started, along with flying bullets. Soon the government came in and everyone plus the cattle ended up dead. The area remains unstable and many refugees who had returned to South Sudan are now refugees again. Some have arrived at the camp we work in.

This kind of trauma is unknown to me, but not to God. Pastor Martin shared that the mourning and grieving among those who have come is tremendous. He has asked Anita and I to return to host another Trama Healing conference. We have said yes! Today, I feel extremely privileged to have trauma training in my tool belt of skills. I am already praying that the Lord use our words to help them lay all of their burdens at the feet of Jesus. (Join me in praying to this end!)

Tomorrow - We've asked Martin to ask the refugees how the team could bless them while we are there (tangible needs). Part of their response was surprising. They want school supplies. COVID kept the schools closed longer there than in the USA. The kids are ready to get back to school and need supplies to attend. They also said they would like help feeding their families. (FYI, my favorite Ugandan dish is PoPo.  Look it up, It’s amazing!  Yum Yum.)

While we are on the great continent of Africa, our team will also be serving alongside CRI's missionary partners in Malawi and Mozambique. (As most you know, Mozambique is home to me. It is where I grew up and learned about the power of planting seeds and watching Jesus spring new life into the lost and hurting.) We'll be working with Tessa Grace, Project Life, and offering Soul Care. 100's of people will be within our reach, so our goal is to raise $10,000 in ministry money for the three stops.

You've been faithful in the past. You remain faithful today. And I am counting on you to stand with me in the days to come! There are more seeds we need to spread!

Please join me in prayer, for souls to be saved and hearts healed and for God to provide the $10,000 we seek to share with those in our reach.

Would you consider donating to this need?
