FROM OUR PRESIDENT

Dear EASA E&W Chapter Members and Friends,

Thank you again to all participants, speakers, and sponsors for their contribution to the success of the EASA – CWIEME Berlin Conference & Networking we held in Berlin on the 9th of May.

The event was attended by 50 participants, executives and managers, from 18 different countries, who appreciated the combination of learning from each other and starting business and technical connections before attending the CWIEME fair. Especially valued from the attendance were: the Sustainable Development Goals Initiative in EASA9 and the Tech & Commercial updates session.

We are very proud to have been a partner of the CWIEME Berlin 2022, and we strongly believe this kind of collaboration is essential to increasing the prestige and influence of our important organization.

A full program of important initiatives still awaits you for 2022!

I would like to personally invite you to join the EASA 2022 Convention in St Louis (Missouri, US ) from the 26th to the 28th of June and to the EASA E&W Chapter Convention in Athens (Greece) from the 6th to the 8th of October.

Looking forward to meeting you there,
All the Best,
Bjørn

THANK YOU TO THE EVENT SPONSORS!

Consistent Peer Interaction Increases Your Membership ROI

By George Flolo
Marketing and Industry Awareness Committee Member
When asked about the benefits of membership, most EASA members mention the technical support, and I would agree that the support is an invaluable benefit. However, there are many other EASA benefits, including seminars, webinars and peer interaction. The latter is a sometimes-overlooked benefit that could boost your business and possibly increase your membership return on investment.

Repairing Corrosion and Erosion Damage on Pumps

By Gene Vogel
EASA Pump & Vibration Specialist
Corrosion and/or erosion damage is inevitable for some pump applications. Pumps received for repair with significant damage may look like a candidate for the junk bin, but with proper repair techniques can often be restored to original performance – or perhaps better than original. Damage from corrosion and erosion (henceforth “damage”) can occur on stationary pump components as well as on the rotating impeller. Note: Cavitation damage is a form of erosion damage.
