SONG OF THE SEASON: Cannon Hall Finale
http://www.natewilsonfamily.net/natesmusic/CannonHallFinale1989.mp3
Nate's Dad directed a church summer camp program, so Nate spent most of his Summers as a teen working at the camp. Cannon Hall was a cement slab with a steel roof over it where the day-camper boys would roll out their sleeping bags to spend the night on the last day of their week of camp. Once the homesick ones had finally stopped crying, and everything was dark and quiet, Nate would play his guitar for the kids that were still awake. This tune emerged the last night of the last week of the last Summer that he was a camp counselor, and it was recorded shortly thereafter in the fall of 1989. It is track 15 on Nate's Instrumental album remake project, which has been stalled for about a decade due to equipment breakdowns and other life priorities.

THE KANSAN CELTS PREQUEL MUSIC ALBUM "LOVER" IS NOW ONLINE!
https://open.spotify.com/album/1PPcJgFfNsOI73uqkLxjvs?si=GejT80aEQgyUMSLQNEDz0g
In 2007, Nate and the kids produced an album of folk music that never made it past hand-distribution on CD's. 14 years later, Nate finally got around to publishing it on Internet media channels after having published the Kansan Celts and Kansan Celts II albums.
About half of the LOVER album is hymns, including "Jesus, Lover of My Soul," "Jesus Loves Me," "Beneath the Blood-Stained Lintel," "Look Ye Saints The Sight Is Glorious," "No Other Lamb," and "Be Thou My Vision." The other half is a mix of instrumentals and country-western-style ballads, including Nate's love song to Paula ("Georgia Rose") and Beni's whimsical "Cast Iron" (a take-off on the cowboy song "Big Iron," reframing the showdown as a cook-off instead of a shoot-out).
On this 2021 online release, we replaced the original 2007 recording of “I Hold Within My Arms Today” (sung by Paula and accompanied by a string quartet of teenage boys) with a new recording of our 20-somethings on the string quartet and our daughter Irene singing to her own unborn child!
There is also a never-released-before bonus track, “200 Years From Now.” When Nate, Amos, and Peter first performed this song in 2013 at a creative workshop, Christian recording artist Phil Keaggy played along on his guitar and complimented Nate on the song! (Unfortunately we couldn't figure out a way to get Phil to record it with us, though.)
