Join us for our first ever foster care information night. This virtual event will give families and individuals an opportunity to learn about the variety of ways to support foster children. You will hear from different foster care agencies and about the many different programs that are offered in Washington State.

NOLS Storytimes begin Friday June 3

Children of all ages are invited to Rainbow Storytime. Listen to affirming stories and songs that celebrate inclusion, diversity, and all types of families! ! This program takes place outside — rain or shine. Bring a blanket to sit on and a way to keep dry if it’s rainy.

All NOLS locations will offer this program:

• Friday, 6/3, at 10:30am in Port Angeles

• Thursday, 6/9, at 10:30am in Clallam Bay

• Saturday, 6/11, at 10:30am in Forks (Tillicum Park)

• Saturday, 6/11, at 10:30am in Sequim

Celebrating Milestones FREE CHILD CHECK

Child Check is a Universal and Free Program to verify that children are meeting their fine/gross motor, language and social/emotional/behavioral developmental milestones. These skills are important for Readiness to Learn and Kindergarten Readiness.

Available to EVERY child in Clallam County between the ages of 18 months and entrance into kindergarten.

Child Check is parent centered and focused on helping parents come to a better understanding of their child’s development, develop better parenting practices and learn more about community resources that can aid them in parenting.

Holding Hope IECMHC Program Supports Social-Emotional Development in Youth

The Fair Start for Kids Act funded the expansion of Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation (IECMHC) services offered to Early Achievers participants through Child Care Aware of Washington. The Holding Hope IECMHC program is designed to promote the social-emotional development and well-being of young children in licensed child care settings throughout Washington State. Learn more here…
