The pizza order needs to be placed Tomorrow, May 30th, so please RSVP today if you have not yet do so, to ensure we have an accurate count and enough lunch for everyone.
If you have registered: Please edit your SignUp Genius entries to include family member names of those attending if you haven’t done so already. We need names in case of emergency and to expedite check-in. You’ll be contacted directly if you haven't done this, which is adding a lot of unnecessary follow up time to the organizers. -Pizza will be served at 5:00pm. Bottled water will be available courtesy of PTO. The concessions should be open for additional purchases.
**PLEASE NOTE: Parents must attend with their child for the entirety of the party and will not be admitted without supervision. If another parent is bringing your child, please email us to put in our notes at: carrietdoyle@gmail.com.
We will be contacting you to get more information if your signup genius doesn’t include the family member names or payment hasn’t been received.

Last Days of School Information
Field Day will take place on Tuesday, May 31st from 12:35pm-2:45pm. Thank you to the parents that have volunteered to assist on this date. Please note that younger siblings cannot attend with volunteers, and spectators are not allowed. Only parents that have signed up to volunteer may attend Field Day.
Please have your child bring along a water bottle and don’t forget to have students apply sun screen prior to arriving at school. The weather is predicted to be very warm on Tuesday. Additionally, students must wear gym shoes. No SANDALS or FLIP FLOPS.
PTO will be providing all students with a popsicle to be eaten on this day. Ingredient information can be found below.
Last but not least, the last day of school for Elm School students will be Wednesday, June 1st. Students will be dismissed at 11:40 AM on this day. We will "Clap Out" our fifth grade students prior to dismissal time. Please join us outside of the school for this special event.

5th Grade Graduation Details
Fifth grade graduation will take place on Wednesday, June 1st at 10:30 in the school gym. Families are invited to attend. Please be sure to enter through the main office no earlier than 10:15.
We will begin our school clap out directly after the graduation, approximately 11:30 AM.
Fifth grade parents can start lining up in the Elm 5th grade hallway following the conclusion of the graduation ceremony. If you have any questions, please reach out to your fifth grade teacher.
Medication Pick Up
Please be sure if your child has any medication in the Nurse’s Office that it is picked up prior to the last day of school. Any questions, please contact Kim Pavich at kpavich@d181.org

Elm School and Area News
The Hinsdale Public Library met with grade levels this past week to share their summer reading program and activities. These events are all free for Elm families, but some do require registration. Registration for all summer library programming opens on Monday, May 23rd at 9:00 AM. I highly encourage you to register early if your child is interested in any of the programs, classes or book clubs. You can check out their offerings here. They will also be having a "Kickoff to Summer Reading" party on Wednesday, June 8 from 2-4 PM with outside activities including ice cream and face painting. So bring the entire family, have some fun and sign up for summer reading!
