Annual elections for positions on the Board of Directors of the Islamic Center of Boston will be held in person at the center. The elections will be held over two days to allow maximum participation by members.
Sunday, June 5 - 11:00AM - 2:00PM. Note, this is the day of the General Body meeting and candidates will be provided an opportunity to introduce themselves.
Friday, June 10 - 1:30PM - 2:30PM
Kindly follow all COVID rules of the center when coming to vote, specially wear a Face Mask. If you have any COVID symptoms then do not come to the center.
The positions which are open for election this year are as follows:
Two Members At Large (For Two Years: July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2024):

Mohammed Asmal
Sunniya Saleem
The following positions have only 1 candidate each. Therefore, they have been elected unopposed for Two Years: July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2024. Congratulations!
The nominators and/or the nominee may withdraw the nomination at any time before the actual election start time on Sunday, June 5. The voting will be by means of secret ballots cast by eligible voting members of the center.
People who may not be able to come on the day of the election can cast their votes by means of a proxy vote on the proxy ballot paper (download here). This ballot paper should be filled in and handed, in person, by the member who is casting the ballot to any member of the Election Commission before or during the elections on Sunday, June 5, 2022 between 11:00AM to 2:00PM.
