News And Upcoming Events

Greetings Oregon and SW Washington Pastoral Musicians!

Blessings to each of you as we begin the month of June. I hope this e-mail finds you doing well. In the June 2022 NPM Portland Oregon Chapter e-newsletter, please read more about
  • 'Tested By Fire', the National Convention in Louisville, Kentucky (in-person or virtual)
  • Upcoming local Chapter Events in 2022
  • National Association of Pastoral Musicians (NPM) Membership
On a personal note, at the end of June I will conclude four years of serving as the Chapter Director for the NPM Portland Oregon Chapter. The Chapter Core Team met on Thursday afternoon, June 2, and I have agreed to serve one more year as Chapter Director until June 30, 2023. It is an honor to serve the local Chapter for the national organization. I have been a national NPM member for several decades and will continue to support the local and national organization as well as be a liturgy and music resource for local pastoral musicians. I am pleased to announce Ken Willett, the current chapter Communications Coordinator, will publish the chapter e-newsletter beginning July 1, 2022.

As always, please contact myself or one of the NPM Portland Oregon Chapter Core Team (listed below) for ministry support, and your event ideas and topic suggestions.

Blessings to you and your parish music ministry.
Peace and Blessings,
Agnes Zueger

We know that there are so many factors to consider for this year's convention: costs, time off, travel, and more. But this year's NPM Convention has more than one way to participate!

The 45th National Convention will be available as an in-person and virtual experience. The in-person convention is at the Galt House Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky from June 28-July 1, 2022.

The Virtual Convention takes place the week after the in-person convention (July 5-7) and has a more condensed schedule to accommodate a pastoral musician participating from home. Not only that, the virtual convention is deeply discounted for those who cannot afford to participate in an in-person experience this year.
