Just under two weeks to go until National Carers Week...
It's early this year!

We are particularly excited about the launch of the
London Borough of Sutton Carer Creative Arts Display and new Banner, the Mayor's Reception, and our Wellbeing 'Open House' event where we will be opening our doors until 8pm to all Sutton Carers and colleagues.

You will also see more detailed information about upcoming events such as Sutton Parent Carer Forum's annual 'Carers' Lunch' and the
Mental Health Trust's 'Carers Picnic in the Park'.

Our colleagues over at St Helier Hospital will be ensuring hundreds of information packs go out, too.

We may even be hosting a government VIP visit....

All events are free!

What are you planning to do this Carers Week?

We'd love to hear from you, our local Carer partners, and organisations who support Carers.

Perhaps you could run a staff networking event for employees who juggle their paid jobs alongside their caring roles, to make them aware of the support available to them - or even run a training course for staff to help them better understand and identify unpaid Carers in their everyday roles.

Perhaps a coffee morning to thank Carers you already know would be a nice gesture? We would love to hear from Carers with ideas, too.

Sutton Parent Carer Forum is delighted to invite ALL Sutton Carers to an outdoor lunch to celebrate Carers Week. Come and connect with other Carers over a delicious lunch and refreshments, all provided by SPCF. The event will take place on Thursday 9th June, 12pm - 2pm at Sutton Mencap. Please email suttonparentsforum@outlook.com or call/text on 07557 760328 to book your place.

Come and celebrate on the final day of National Carers Week with South West London & St George's Mental Health NHS Trust at their 'Picnic in the Park' for all local Carers, families and friends of people using mental health services across the SWLStG area - this includes Sutton!

It will be taking place on Friday 10th June, 12pm - 3pm at Morden Hall Park.
All refreshments will be provided - you just need to bring your picnic blanket!

It also has information if you feel unsafe from domestic abuse or if you have concerns about the safety of a vulnerable adult or child. We also can give information and advice about all these issues.
