Nominate yourself or a colleague to serve on a CAA jury!

CAA invites nominations and self-nominations for individuals to serve on our Awards for Distinction, Publication Grant, Fellowship, and Travel and Support Grant juries. Materials are due to CAA by June 1, 2022.

Member Valerie Taylor talks about the benefits of contributing to the peer review process at CAA saying:

“Serving keeps me on my toes intellectually and in the loop…”

CAA jury service offers you opportunities for career advancement and professional development. You will build connections with an intergenerational group of professional colleagues and meet leading and emerging scholars in the field, as well as read new cutting-edge scholarship. CAA appoints jury members with an eye towards individual expertise and balance for the range of representation in the field.

As a jury member you will determine the recipients of these opportunities. You will be exposed to the latest research, scholarship, and advanced achievements in the visual arts. You will gain valuable experience in a peer review process and build connections with others in the field. Your contribution through jury service will also hone your expertise, strengthen your CV, and further your career development.

Nominations and self-nominations should include a brief statement (no more than 150 words) outlining the individual’s qualifications and experience and a CV (an abbreviated CV of no more than two pages may be submitted). Terms begin July 2022. Please send all nomination materials by email to Cali Buckley: cbuckley@collegeart.org. Nominations must be sent as a Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF attachment.

Additional details are available on our website
