Evening - Humble Walk departs for Europe Trip
Dear People of Hope,
One of the joys of being Hope Lutheran Church and Student Center, is that we all get to participate in the cycles of University of Maryland. This is finals week, and Friday is graduation. Sure, there will be extra traffic. But there is also lots to pray about and celebrate.
Last Sunday, Hope packed 40 finals kits to support students through this stressful week. Thank you to all who participated in this. We included snacks, and a prayer for students as well.
This Friday, Humble Walk invites us all to a Graduation Gala, to hear inspiring stories about the good work of Lutheran Campus Ministry and support students as they take their next steps in life. Anyone is invited to attend this celebration. If you're able, please RSVP to lutheran@umd.edu, so the group can plan for space and food.

Hope Property: Space Study Take the survey, anytime
Hope has a short-term space study team, working with an architect on the early planning phases of what Hope and Humble Walk would want and need in a new building. This is not yet about the details of hardwood, tile or carpeted floors, not yet about the kitchen fixtures. This early part of the process is about how much indoor and outdoor space we need, so that we can negotiate with these needs in mind. This team includes about 10 people from Hope and Humble Walk. The team has met with an architect once already. Add your thoughts on space by completing this survey:

Celebrate Alex and Bonnie's Marriage Sunday June 5, within and following morning worship
Our beloved musician Alex is getting married, to Bonnie, also a fabulous musician around Hope. Their wedding will be a small service in Seattle in May. But we'll celebrate with them and Alex's parents, visiting from Bulgaria, on Sunday June 5. Watch for details and plan to join this celebration.
Fundraiser at Franklins to support PG Day Center Tuesday June 7, all day long
This fundraiser supports the day center run by Congregations United for Compassion and Empowerment (CUCE). You can shop in the general store, eat inside or outside, order carry-out for lunch or dinner, or purchase a gift certificate. Franklins will donate 20 percent of your before-tax total -- but you must show your receipt to the host to participate.
Lutherans support DC PRIDE Saturday and Sunday, June 11-12
This region celebrates love and identity in its many forms every June. Reconciling in Christ churches (like Hope) are invited to be involved in DC PRIDE festivities. If you'd like to walk in the parade Saturday or support a booth Sunday, talk to JT R. Not available but want to support the efforts? Hope will be making signs before the event after worship; watch for a date and join us then.
