Dear Friends,

The staff at the T.C. Steele State Historic Site is looking for volunteers for an upcoming event “Painting Selma’s Garden” on Saturday, June 18th, 2022.  A flyer for the event is available here.

Details

Site staff is looking for 2 volunteers: one for each of the two stations listed below:

  • Station 1: The House of the Singing Winds
    The volunteer will staff the House of the Singing Winds and will talk to visitors about T.C. & Selma Steele and the art. We will provide any volunteer a loose tour plan of key artifacts to be familiar with for each room of the house. A floater will provide breaks as needed.
  •  Station 2: Large Studio
    The volunteer will staff the Large Studio and will talk to visitors about T.C. Steele and the artwork in the Large Studio. We will provide any volunteer a loose tour plan of key paintings. The floater will provide breaks as needed.

Volunteers will need to be available on Saturday, June 18th from 5:15 – 8:00 p.m. EST.

Food and drinks will be accessible to volunteers between shifts.

The Site Staff will track and record your volunteer hours; work with Staff to fill out a volunteer form.
