Emotions
Emotions are great indicators, however, horrible leaders. As we step into becoming mature Christians, we learn that bad things will still happen and challenges will not cease, but how we respond to them will determine our growth. Emotions help come alongside situations to better express what we're feeling as well as how we should process what is happening. They are a gift from the Lord but we have to make sure that they begin to align with the truth of His word. In this place, they will thrive and be healthy as we navigate life's circumstances and relationships. Don't allow yourself to be run by your emotions because the truth is, that they will lie to you. We must actively submit them to God allowing Him access to our hearts. Through this, He then can shed light on the root of the issue at hand. What emotions are you feeling today? Have you allowed God access to share in them with you?
Psalm 7:9 says, "Let the evil within wicked people come to an end, but make the righteous person secure, O righteous God who examines thoughts and emotions."
