Youth Fundraiser

Sunday after service


Do you leave church "hangry"? We have a solution for you! The youth will have lunch available after service this Sunday in the fellowship hall for a donation to the Youth Student Leadership University (SLU) Camp fund. To go boxes will be available. We are sending a team to Washington DC this summer to take a deeper look at the values that built our nation and see the leadership examples they left us. Leaders don't just learn to lead, they inspire. These teenagers come back ready to lead our youth group and impact our community. They are our future!

Pentecost Sunday Brunch

Sunday, June 5th @ 9:30am

Lasting Impressions Book Club
 

"This is not your average book club! God has often used books in my life to speak to me; to challenge and inspire me in key seasons in my life." say leader, Stephanie Franke. They meet every 2nd Thursday @ 6:30pm January through October. The booklist includes both fiction and non-fiction, each chosen with purpose to deepen our understanding of God’s Word, to gain new perspective on the culture and world around us, and to stir our hearts to love bravely.

NEXT THURSDAY, May 26, 6:30pm


Ladies, make plans to attend Come to the Table Next Thursday, May 26 at 6:30pm in the Fellowship Hall. We will have two of our missionaries as our guest of honor and be hearing what God is doing in their countries. They have much to share about "what love looks like"!

Bring a dish to share and come ready to fellowship and hear from the Lord. If you would prefer to just bring your own meal, you are more than welcome to do that. Teenage daughters are invited as well. Ladies Bible Study

Starting June 6, 7 or 8th


In a world where we find people creating God in their own image, studying God’s names can remind us that we are created in His! It is one of the best ways to know God’s true character and grow closer to Him. In The Names of God, Melissa Spoelstra leads women on an exploration of the many names of our triune God—from El and Elohim to Yahweh and its many combinations to names such as Abba, Jesus, and Holy Spirit…and many others. Whether having walked with God for many years or just starting out in a relationship with Him, by the end of this 7 week study, you will not only know more about God but will know Him better.

Tuesday, June 7th at 6:30pm, via Zoom with Debbie Carson facilitates

Broken Bow, June 11-12: Cost is $60.00. We will leave Saturday at 8am from CCF. This trip includes all food, canoe trip, hotel stay, transportation. We will return to CCF around 330pm on Sunday, June 12. First 20 people that pay $60.00 will be guaranteed spot. This trip is for all incoming 7th graders-12 graders & to those that just graduated.
Student Leadership University 201 Washington D.C. July 9-16.  All of the students are already signed up for this.  We will leave CCF at 8am on July 9 and return Saturday, July 16 around 1pm.
Gateway Student Conference, July 20-22.  
All of the students are already signed up for this.  We will leave CCF at 9am on
Wed July 20 and return Fri July 22 by midnight.

Awana

Dates for next year


If you have a child in the Awana program, be sure to congratulate them on a great year! Thank you to all the volunteers that have invested in these young hearts. We will start again on Wednesday, August 31. Registration forms and next year's calendar are available at the InfoCenter.

Awana stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed based off of 2 Timothy 2:15, (AMP) "Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth."

College Prep: Radiant

JAMA Campus, July 18-22


Are you entering college with your best foot forward? Come to College Prep:Radiant Camp (CP:R). Former CCF Pastor Don Crum

This Saturday: Speaking at New Covenant Church 


Don Crum, former pastor of CCF from 1984 to 1988, will be teaching at New Covenant Church in Tyler this Saturday at 1:00pm. After Don’s time as pastor at CCF, he and his family served as missionaries in Nigeria for several years where the Lord miraculously opened doors for him to become friends with the president of Nigeria. After their time in Nigeria, as a result of his relationship with the president of Nigeria, the Lord opened doors for him to work with the FBI for the US government where the Lord gave him many words of knowledge. Needless to say, he has an amazing testimony. Here’s Don’s invitation to everyone:

"I would like to invite you to attend a teaching session I will be presenting on Saturday May 21 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm on the subject of the Royal Dynasty, the dual role of the Believer as Priest and King. This will be some of the same teaching I have been invited to share to a group of Presidents and other foreign government leaders at the United Nations in New York September 11-14. Come and learn more about how to effectively and strategically walk in the operational authority Jesus redeemed for you on the Cross.

1880s PUMP ORGAN AND OTHER ITEMS
Marko Kenney with Zoe International Ministries has some items for sale in an effort to raise funds to benefit their ministry to children and families in the Philippines leading up to his and Patti’s scheduled trip there next month. One of the special items is an 1880s ornate pump organ that’s fully functional and has little shelves that can be used for displaying nicknacks, photos, etc. They’re asking low prices on the items, but you can always bless them with extra to bless the people of Mindanao, Philippines. CHILD EVANGELISM FELLOWSHIP VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
If your preteen/teen loves God, is 12 years old or older and has 2 weeks free in June, they can join Child Evangelism Fellowship team in Tyler and learn how to share the great good news of the gospel at a 5-day Club (VBS in a neighborhood). They will make friends and develop leadership skills as they learn to tell Bible stories, teach memory verses, lead games and share the gospel. Training at the Tyler office is June 1 and 2nd 9:30 to 2 pm or Sat. June 4th. Outreaches would be the weeks of June 20-24 and June 27-July 1. For the promo video, Click HERE. Prayer Requests


Heather Williams Family - Heather's brother, Richard Dixon, passed away unexpected on May 12. Please remember his two sons, parents and other family members in prayer.

Diav Taylor, Thailand/SE Asia - Please pray for our team member, Winnie. She is the only one in her family that is walking with the Lord. Yesterday morning her mom’s older brother committed suicide because he was depressed for a few years. Winnie needs grace to encourage her family.

Don & Pat Robinson - Request prayer for their son-in-law, Wes Elder, who just finished radiation for cancer in his throat area. However, now it has been discovered that either an infection or a tumor has shown up at the top of his spine. The doctors at this time have not determined a plan as to where to go from here. They know they need to do a biopsy to see just exactly what they are dealing with. It is a very high-risk situation and much prayer is needed. He is presently in a hospital in Austin Texas.

Roy Stanley - He had one lung removed already and last week a large mass was discovered on his remaining lung. Pray for healing in every way!
