A typical journal article contains the results of only one analysis pipeline, by one set of analysts. Even in the best of circumstances, there is reason to think that judicious alternative analyses would yield different outcomes.

RSS: Covid-19 evidence session
The RSS has opened a callout for contributions to the third Covid evidence session which will be looking at the role of evidence in policy-making. The event will take place on Tuesday 21 June, 4-6pm both online and in-person.
The speakers are: Nick Jewell, Graham Medley, Sara Walkerm and Emma Rourke.
If you would like to make a short, two-minute contribution to the event, either in-person or remotely, please give some details of what you would like to say via the link below.  
Deadline: Thursday 8 June.

VIII Festa de la Ciència de la UB
Torna la Festa de la Ciència de la UB i ho fa de manera presencial! Els dies 27 i 28 de maig del 2022, de 9 a 14 h, a l'Edifici Històric UB (Gran Via Corts Catalanes, 585 Barcelona). El divendres estarà especialment pensada pels centres educatius (cal que com a centre educatiu us inscriviu prèviament) i el disabta para un públic familiar. 
La Festa de la Ciència de la UB és una oportunitat única, perquè és la millor manera de viure la recerca en primera persona i d’entendre com d’important és en tots els àmbits de la vida.

Visualising
harms in RCT
Little guidance exists on what and how to visually display complex harm data in journal articles. This paper provides recommendations on which visualisations researchers should consider using. Visualisations provide a powerful tool to communicate harms in clinical trials, offering an alternative perspective to the traditional frequency tables. Increasing the use of visualisations for harm outcomes in clinical trial reports will provide clearer presentation of information and enable more informative interpretations.
