The future of NW Austin Swim and Water Polo:
Make your voices heard --

I hope everyone is doing well as the school year wraps up.  The Northwest Park Pool (aka Beverly S. Sheffield Northwest Regional Aquatic Center) will be renovated soon.  Now's our chance to provide input on what would best support UIL water polo and swimming!

Background: The Northwest Park Pool is getting renovated in the next couple of years. The City of Austin Parks & Rec department is asking for community input via this Community Survey in order to re-design the pool for what the community needs most. This is the perfect opportunity to push for a facility able to host water polo practices and tournaments year-round. Swimming would certainly benefit too (it's 2 miles from Mccallum, 3 miles from Anderson, and 6 miles from Austin High).

Please fill out the survey, selecting "other" as your #1 feature (they didn't include water polo or deep water in multiple choice), and definitely add your comments to all 3 fields.  

Please also +1 agree with comments that mention water polo, deep water, year-round use, etc. I put my name by my comments.

Finally, spread the word to faculty, parents, and our very own high school water polo players and swimmers, especially to people who live near this pool!  The more input the city receives from those who live near the pool, the stronger our case will be to ensure NW Park Pool sufficiently supports AISD athletics.

For those who get a physical on their own, the forms can be dropped off at the front office and it will be put in athletic trainers mailbox. 
They will not accept any emailed copies.
Things to look for before turning them in:

Medical History Questionnaire:
-All boxes and questions answered, any YES answers explained.  
-Signed at the bottom by Parent/Guardian, Student, and Health Care Professional who reviewed the Form

Physical form: 
All lines filled out and completed
Physician Signature, physician contact info, and date of examination (must be dated after 4/15/22 to be valid)
