Support Bike Share in the Heartland!

Tomorrow, May 26th, marks the 11th Anniversary of Give to Lincoln Day! Each year this dedicated day of giving, coordinated by Lincoln Community Foundation, connects Lincoln to the nonprofits and organizations that are critical to the city's enduring spirit.

As many of you already know, bikes are an essential component of that spirit. They connect us not just to places but to people. Bikes are tools of empowerment - for transportation, health, recreation - and publicly available bike share helps ensure that all have affordable access to reliable bike transportation.

BikeLNK has served as an integral transportation option for the City of Lincoln since 2018, supporting 140,000+ trips over 310,000+ miles. And from that first day forward, BikeLNK's day-to-day operations have been managed by the local nonprofit Heartland Bike Share.

Heartland Bike Share is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that exists for the development, promotion and operation of bike sharing programs throughout the Heartland region for the benefit of the general public, aimed at promoting health and quality of life as well as mitigating climate change and promoting the use of sustainable and equitable forms of transportation. Beginning in 2016 and throughout its history, Heartland Bike Share has worked collaboratively with local community organizations and partners to ensure all individuals have the opportunity to participate in healthy and sustainable transportation to positively impact their lives.
