WATCH St. Philip Neri: The Apostle of Joy This week we celebrate St. Philip Neri, the Apostle of Rome. To a Rome ravaged by war and wearied by the decadence of the Renaissance popes, St. Philip Neri came as an unlikely reformer. Mystic, hermit, prankster, and effortless leader of men, Neri had a great sense of humor and an even greater heart.
LEARN FORMED Now! The Holy Spirit in Light of Pentecost This week we celebrate the Solemnity of Pentecost, often referred to as the birthday of the Church. Join Dr. Tim Gray and Dr. Ben Akers as they discuss Christ's sending of the Holy Spirit in this monumental event. After watching, you'll recognize the meaning of Pentecost for our lives today.

Catechist Training for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) model builds on understanding the learning process of the 3-6 year old child and providing her/him with materials in an environment that will initiate a relationship with God. CGS is based on the work begun by Maria Montessori and further developed by Sophia Cavelletti and Gianna Gobbi in Rome.
A Catechist Training for the learning environment of 3-6 year olds is offered at Holy Cross in Deerfield on M-F June 13-17 and T-Th August 3, 4, 5 at 9:00-4:00pm.
The cost for Level I is $350. To learn more about CGS visit: www.cgsusa.org

Invitation to Serve
A note of thank you for your generosity in supporting the Confirmation students in their recent collection for refugees, in partnership with World Relief Chicago. Through your generosity, we were able to donate a check for $2,000, $100 in Amazon gift cards, and several needed items for the organization. We received this message of appreciation:
“Thank you so much for collecting our top need items and financial gifts to support the communities we serve! We are in the midst of welcoming many new arrivals from all over the world, and your gifts will go directly to them and to supporting their transitions to safe and peaceful lives in the U.S. On behalf of the people we serve, thank you so much for your blessings and generosity!”
We have much to be grateful for here at St. Patrick parish and faithfully show what it means to be missionary Disciples of Christ.
