St. Mike’s has returned to offering communion in both kinds.
Wherever you are on your spiritual journey you are welcome to come forward to receive the consecrated wine and wafers. Wine will be served by our chalice bearers from the common cup. In keeping with the pandemic safety guidelines from our bishop, the communicant may drink from the chalice or, in the alternative, the priest will dip the wafer into the wine and place it directly on the communicant’s tongue. If you prefer not to have wine, simply cross your arms over your chest after receiving the wafer.
A Note of Thanks from MOMS OC
May 17, 2022
I just wanted to say a quick note of thanks for the very generous donation from St. Michael’s congregation, as well as the donation of baby items today. We are very excited to know that we have sufficient funding to purchase car seats for the families who need them. We are planning some car seat educational activity in the near future with the CHP and State Farm where we will invite client families to receive their car seat and also receive one-on-one installation instruction from CHP. Thanks to the compassionate friends at St. Micheal’s, we can reach the most vulnerable and wrap them with protection.

A Prayer for our Rector Search
Almighty God, giver of every good gift, grant us the guidance of your Holy Spirit as we seek a new Rector for Saint Michael and All Angels. Bless us with patience, courage, and foresight as you shepherd our parish family on this journey. Give us an open spirit, discerning hearts and clear minds, that we may trust your will for us. Raise up for us, we pray, a rector who will boldly proclaim your Gospel, faithfully administer your sacraments, and serve your people with love and compassion; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Share Your Joy
Through Flowers
We have a tradition of offering flowers at the altar on most Sundays. Members of the congregation sponsor altar flowers, chapel flowers, and the sanctuary light in thanksgiving for all the blessings of this life or in memory of loved ones.
Send your news items to the The Rev. Susan Pinkerton and Wayne Hastings. The deadline for inclusion is noon on Tuesday for that week's St. Mike's Messenger.
