We are halfway done the Challenge!

This past week has been a busy one at Shifting Gears HQ! We hosted our first bike maintenance workshop at B!KE, where participants learned the A(air), B(brakes), C(chain)'s of bike care and we've been at the Peterborough Regional Farmer's Market, offering program info, free bike checks, good chats and free swag! It's been amazing to get back out into the community and meet some of you, face-to-face.

If you're looking to catch us out in the wild, find us here:

Fixing a Flat Workshop, Thursday May 26th at B!KE (293 George street) from 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM. A dreaded bike problem that doesn't have to be so intimidating! Peterborough Regional Farmer's Market Pop-Up, Saturday May 28th in Peterborough Square Courtyard from 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Come drop by our booth in the square, to say hi! Green Street is Shifting their Gears!
Angie, Verne and the team at Green Street have been logging trips this month! As a business that sells and repairs electric bicycles, they have always been focused on sustainable transportation choices. For some advice on the Challenge, Angie says: "The act of "shifting gears" is a process. It doesn't happen all at once. Try not to focus on the month as a whole. Take it one trip at a time. And if you miss a couple, don't sweat it! tomorrow is another day with another opportunity to hop on your bike or lace up the sneakers." Thank you Green Street for Shifting your Gears this season!
(Note: Shifting Gears will follow the guidance of Public Health during the COVID-19 pandemic. Some photos we use were taken pre-COVID-19.)
