Join Us Saturday to Celebrate Strawberry Waffle Day!

It's finally here! Strawberry Celebration Day featuring strawberry waffles kicks off this Saturday, May 21, beginning at 8:30 am. First come, first serve while supplies last. Baked goods, coffee and other breakfast alternatives will available across the Market.

Guest chef Denzell Berry will offer his specialty waffles made with Massey Creek Farm eggs and topped with local Market strawberries. Two thick waffle wedges topped with strawberry compote will be available for $10 per plate (minimum donation). Patrons can add a Neese’s sausage patty or bacon, orange juice or bottled water for an additional $2. Event proceeds go to vital funds for hunger relief programs at the Curb Market providing fresh food access to neighbors in need in our community.

The Minor Swing Band, a local gypsy jazz group, will be performing on the lawn for all to enjoy. Patrons are invited to bring their own chairs or blankets. Picnic seating is available on the lawn with additional seating inside at the Market Café. Market vendors will offer local strawberries, jams, specialty baked goods and ice cream featuring strawberries.

Amelia's Gift to Honor Friend of the Market Amelia Leung

Join Mimi’s Soaps, this Saturday, as we pay tribute to an old friend.
Some of Mimi’s soaps have a history. Amelia’s Gift, a reintroduction of our first soap then called Green Pond, is one of those. Amelia Leung, long-time market customer, had an ongoing relationship with Mimi’s Soaps. Mimi made Green Pond soap into half bars wrapped in red tissue paper for Amelia and she gave them away. Doctors and nurses, folks who gave her a hand when she was stranded in a parking lot, family, and many others too numerous to mention were among those she gifted. Many of those folks became regular customers of both the market and Mimi. Amelia passed this life in November 2021 and Mimi stopped making Green Pond. Saturday May 21st, it will be available again as Amelia’s Gift. Drop by to pick up a few bars while supplies last.
