OGP at the World Economic Forum

Steering Committee Spotlight

2022 Civil Society Steering Committee Selection

  • Check out the shortlist of civil society candidates for the 2022 OGP Steering Committee.
  • The candidates will join one of three virtual community conversations this week to kick off the consultation stage of OGP’s new strategy and talk about the challenges and opportunities of open government and ideas for the future of OGP.
  • The selected three new members will be announced in mid June and begin their new terms on October 1.

2022 Government Steering Committee Elections

  • The deadline for countries to submit their candidacy to the OGP Steering Committee is May 27, 2022.

World of Open Gov

- The Toolkit for More Gender-Responsive Action Plans, which features resources for enhancing gender responsiveness in the OGP action plan co-creation process, is now available in French and Spanish.

- The International Fund for Public Interest Media launched its inaugural round of funding in 17 countries as part of a long-term strategy to sustain as well as rebuild public interest media. 

- ICNL released a toolkit designed to provide information on OGP for civil society organizations in Kenya. 

- Namati is searching for a new Director of Communications.

- The Open Contracting Partnership is hiring two Senior Data Support Managers to provide hands-on support to publishers and users of contracting data around the world.

- Read Integrity Action’s latest story on building integrity in Kenya and how citizens are demanding better public buildings and services for everyone.
