CELEBRATING THE 2022 SUMMIT ARTS SHOWCASE

Call For Artists 

UTAH WOMEN ARTISTS

Deadline: Jun. 17
Call for Women Artists 

West Valley City, UT

AAUW of Utah and the Utah Women Artist Exhibition are sending a call out for women artists who are 18 and older and reside in Utah. This year the theme is "Celebrating Utah Women Artists". This is a juried exhibition, which welcomes original art in all media with the exception of video and installation. More information can be found here

BINGHAM JUNCTION PUBLIC ART PROGRAM

Deadline: Jun. 20
Request for Proposals 

Midvale City, UT 

The Redevelopment Agency of Midvale City has created the Bingham Junction Public Art Program to provide opportunities to integrate public art into private developments or public spaces within the project area. The Redevelopment Agency of Midvale City, in partnership with Overstock.com, are seeking qualified artists to design and install a mural that will be a welcoming feature for the City of Midvale. The project budget is $50,000. More information can be found here

ART IN PUBLIC PLACES PROGRAM

Deadline: Jun. 24
Call for Artists

Las Cruces, NM

The Art in Public Places Program of New Mexico Arts, the Local Selection Committee at New Mexico State University (NMSU), and New Mexico Department of Agriculture (NMDA) seek to purchase 1 to 3 exterior public artworks for a newly constructed courtyard area at the NMDA on the NMSU campus. OUTDOOR SCULPTURE IN DOWNTOWN BOUNTIFUL

Call for Artists

Bountiful, UT

The Bountiful City Public Art Program is seeking an artist to create an outdoor sculpture in downtown Bountiful. To be considered, artists must demonstrate experience creating work of similar scope and scale. The sculpture must be visually engaging and encourage an element of interactivity and/or surprise for passersby. Click here for more information on eligibility and to apply. 

DAVIS ARTS COUNCIL

Call for Artists

Layton, UT 

The Davis Arts Council is in search of visual artists for gallery submissions from solo artists and art groups to hang in their Snow Horse Art Galleries at Intermountain Layton Hospital and the Davis Conference Center. Artists should plan to exhibit approximately 15-25 pieces. Applications can be found on their website: davisarts.org.

Artist in Residence 

Salt Lake City, UT

The Urban Arts gallery is announcing its open call for submissions to participate in the August 2022 photography show "Captivate." The call is for photographers whose work reflects an appreciative attitude toward the beauty around us while simultaneously challenging reality and subverting the everyday images that dominate our society. The show will hang August 2-28. Apply for "Captivate" here

RESIDENCY FOR EXPERIMENTAL ARTS EDUCATION 2022-23

Artist in Residence

New York City, NY

The Residency for Experimental Arts Education invites individuals to reflect on the efficacy of arts education today while designing and implementing alternative futures through studio intensive community-based programs, and online exposure. Prospective applicants are invited to join a free virtual information session on Tuesday, June 21 from 3-4PM ET. STOCHASTIC LABS RESIDENCIES

Artist in Residence

Berkeley, CA

Stochastic Labs awards fully sponsored residencies to exceptional engineers, artists, scientists, and entrepreneurs from around the world. Residencies are of variable length and include a private apartment at the mansion, co-working and/or dedicated work space, shop access and a $1k monthly stipend and budget for materials. CENTER FOR CRAFT FELLOWSHIP

Fellowship

The Center for Craft Fellowship will support independent artists, and emerging to established researchers. The Fellowship will foster archival research on underrepresented and non-dominant craft histories in the United States, such as feminist, intersectional, Black, indigenous, Latinx, Asian American and Pacific Islander, and other communities. Our Town is the National Endowment for the Arts' creative placemaking grants program. These grants support projects that integrate arts, culture, and design activities into efforts that strengthen communities by advancing local economic, physical, and/or social outcomes. Foundation gifts in this area are directed to qualified charitable organizations and their projects that foster the enjoyment and appreciation of the visual and performing arts, strengthen the humanities and arts-related education programs, provide affordable access for all Utahns to events and performances, enhance artistic elements in communities, and nurture a new generation of artists throughout Utah. The Kanab Writers Conference offers a plein air hike with writing retreat, a self-publishing seminar, more than 25 breakout classes taught by authors and industry professionals, a writing contest, and pitch sessions to editors. More information about the conference can be found here

SUMMIT ARTS SHOWCASE

The Summit Arts Showcase, an annual arts show in Oakley, UT hosted by the Arts Council, builds support for local artists and cultivates collectors who live on the Eastern side of Summit County. The event will take place Friday, June 15 from 4-8pm and Saturday, June 16 from 10am - 5pm at the Red Barn in Oakley, UT.
