Today, let’s put the spotlight on Edith “Edie” Windsor. She was a gay rights activist and the lead plaintiff in the landmark Supreme Court Case United States v. Windsor, which eventually led to the legalization of gay marriage in the United States.

And of course she also obtained a masters degree in mathematics from NYU and was a computer programmer and engineer, attaining the highest level technical position at IBM during her career.
