New Episode: Into the Depths

Inspired by @depthsofwikipedia, this week we dive deeper into three of our favorite weird Wikipedia pages.

Listen to Episode #188: Into the Depths

Heavyweight supervising producer Stevie Lane says, “This week, I recommend those squeeze pouches of baby food. Okay, hear me out: They’re essentially smoothies. (Especially if you keep them cold in the fridge. Hack!) They don’t expire for a whole year, and are easy to pack if you’re going out for the day. As a child of the Go-Gurt Generation, I appreciate a good grab-n-go snack. The baby food section of the grocery store can be a little overwhelming. There are a lot of baby food brands out there. But my favorite (on the basis of flavor, price, and consistency) is Pumpkin Tree Peter Rabbit Organics. Pay no mind to the strange looks you may receive from your local cashier. Or strangers on the street while you saunter along with your pureed fruit mush. They don’t know. And if you’re looking for a place to start—to dip a toe in before more sophisticated combos like Pear-Carrot-Beet—try Apple-Peach or Banana-Raspberry-Blueberry. Both great gateway flavors.”

Bethel says, "I love Wired’s YouTube account because they find a way to answer questions I never knew I had. Like: Have I been using a wok all wrong and depriving myself of good stir fry for my entire adult life? Answer: Yes."
Sam says, "This week I devoured David Sedaris’ new collection of essays, Happy-Go-Lucky. Essays range in topic from the death of his father to life in the pandemic to life back out on tour. Like always, he manages to balance sharp wit and self-deprecation with his unmatched powers for observation and empathy."
Emmanuel says, "I’ve been really into this pianist named Duval Timothy lately. He’s insanely talented - he was featured quite heavily on Kendrick Lamar’s latest album and was honestly my favorite thing about the album. He makes a lot of instrumental piano pieces that go to really interesting places. Perfect for listening while zoning out in your apartment or walking in the park. Start with his 2017 album Sen Am. You won’t be disappointed."
