Hello 2022 CSA members!

We're happy to announce that the start of our CSA season is quickly approaching! We want to welcome you all once more to the Hope's Edge Farm community and let you know that the official first pickup will be on Friday, June 17th from 3:30-6:30pm at the farm. We've chosen Friday afternoons for our official pick-up time, but know that if ever you can't make it during the scheduled hours, you can always retrieve your share from our cooler later in the weekend at your convenience. (Please just take care not to disturb the residents by arriving before 7am or after 7pm.) Let us know if you foresee any challenges with that and we'll do our best to make reasonable accommodations.

Our farm stand will be opening on a weekly basis as well. Thanks to the amazing group of 6-8th grade students we have been partnering with at Sweetland School, we have a beautiful new hand-built mobile farm stand! It will be making its home on the Sweet Tree Arts lawn, just across from the Hope General Store. You'll see most of the same items found in your CSA bag each week, so if ever you find yourself wishing for more of something, check out the farm stand! The initial scheduled weekly hours will be Mondays from 1-6pm. (These hours may be subject to change as we assess farm stand traffic, so please check our website for updates: http://hopesedgefarm.com/farm-stand/). We will also have pop-up days when there is an abundance of something wanting to be shared.

Those of you who know Tom may have heard that his official departure date is quickly approaching. He leaves next week for Albany, NY, where he will catch a train for the west coast and there will begin his bike trek back toward home. This week is a busy one with tying up loose ends, but overall he is ready and looking forward to the trip and the chance to reconnect with family and friends along the way. If you're interested in following his journey, he will be using the app "Strava" and will also be posting occasional musings on our Hope's Edge blog: http://hopesedgefarm.com/blog/. We (Jason and Rachel) will also write blog posts here and future emails from us will be kept brief as a result.

You'll see another email from us the day before the first pick-up with details of where to go and what to expect, but for now, know that we have lots of lovely greens and lettuces in the ground as well as some carrots, beets, radishes, scallions, herbs, and rhubarb. You can expect to see various combinations of those during the early weeks of your share.

We look forward to seeing you at the farm!

Rachel and Jason
