Dear Cheviot Friends & Neighbors:
By now you have seen signs around the neighborhood announcing the Cheviot Hills HOA General Meeting and Annual Board of Directors' Election. The meeting will start at 7:00 p.m. in the Shuken Auditorium on the Vista Del Mar campus, 3200 Motor Avenue. (Please see the map below) Doors open for refreshments and member registration at 6:30 p.m. Needless to say, we are delighted to be holding an in-person meeting for the first time since 2019!
Board member Omar Tirmizi will be stepping down, leaving an open seat on our 15-member Board. In addition, per HOA bylaws, seven additional sitting Board members will be up for reelection. (The bylaws require seven members of the Board to stand for reelection each "odd" year, and eight Board members to stand for reelection in "even" years.) Neighborhood resident Marcie Newby has kindly agreed to be considered for the open seat. Additionally, we will be taking nominations from the floor for anyone else interested in running.
Below is the slate of eight candidates for your consideration and vote to serve on the CHHOA Board of Directors for the 2022-2023 year. Each candidate would serve a two-year term. Biographies for the candidates are posted

agenda for the meeting.

One resident homeowner per household, living within the Cheviot Hills HOA boundaries, is eligible to vote for the new Board of Directors if their 2022 dues are fully paid. (See our bylaws for full details regarding membership eligibility.) Dues can be paid on the night of the meeting at the registration table at the entrance to the Auditorium. Our HOA treasurer and staff will check residents in and hand out ballots to those eligible.
