The time is now. Not later on today, not tomorrow. The time for change is now. You know it, I know it, many of your family members know it and many of your best friends know it. Most importantly you know it.

What I'm Excited About

The Book I'm Reading

Making the Customer Experience Magical by John Formica. I picked this book up shortly after having Mr. Formica speak to all my coaching clients. He did a fantastic job presenting so I couldn't resist picking up his book right away. It's an easy read and has a bit of a workbook component. Pick it up here, you won't be disappointed... it's magical!

What I'm Watching

Obi-Wan Kenobi has my attention right now. If you don't already know this I am a huge Star Wars fan. I love the movies (all of them), the limited series, and the books as well. It's hard to say who would be my favorite character of all time but Obi-Wan Kenobi would surly be at the top of the list. If you have never watched any of the Star Wars movies but you are giving Obi-Wan Kenobi a chance, I would love to know what you think of the series. For me, it's fantastic. Episode 4 premiers today, so you know what I'll be doing with an hour of my time tonight.

What I'm Listening To

The Speech That Changed Thousands Of Lives! -MaxOut Live: Ed Mylett In this podcast episode, Ed shares in detail how his father overcame the challenges of alcohol addiction. This is truly powerful stuff - Ed Mylett knows how to tell a story (and change lives). I've had the honor of spending many days with Ed and visiting him at his house. If you arent familiar with him, start with this podcast, it will change your life.

What I Just Bought

Praying Mantids! Specifically 10 egg cases. There is no one on this planet that likes mosquitos, especially me. Which is rough because I love being outdoors on my patio in the evenings working or in the pool. I've tried candles, sprays, and bug zappers. Nothing works. Except for Praying Mantids that is :-) yup, you read that right. You buy the eggs (they look like tiny coconuts), and keep them in a warm (not hot) place (mason jars on a window ledge near some morning sun work for me). After a few weeks, they will hatch, give them a day to harden a bit then spread them out around your yard. After a week or so... no more (or at least much less) mosquitos... the Praying Mantids eat them all.

Article I'm Reading

Has “Yellowstone” created a housing crisis? I saw the headline in a newsletter from the Hustle. The article opens with a quote from John Dutton, the Montana mega-rancher played by Kevin Costner in “Yellowstone.” “Leverage is knowing that if someone had all the money in the world, this is what they’d buy,”

As the television series ratings skyrocketed, so did the Montana housing prices. Of course, prices have gone up a lot in almost every area of our nation. So how much did the tv show play into the growth of Montana... now the third fastest-growing state in the United States? The article gets into the details and they are fascinating.

One study found season four’s production created 527 permanent local jobs and brought businesses $85.8m in new spending, excluding the Montana ad that is “Yellowstone” itself.

The median price for a condo in Bozeman was up 61% YoY in April.
Habitat for Humanity called the situation a “housing crisis.”
CNBC reported that locals are moving into vans and tents. It also detailed a cultural divide festering between locals and wealthy newcomers.

What I'm Thinking

What causes a recession and how to explain what one is to others. Taking it further... how to teach others how to sell in a recession, how to get in front of it. Creating effective justification pieces
