Using Breakout Rooms 🏠
NOTE: If you have a MAC ... there is a new version of Zoom that makes breakout rooms LESS CONFUSING 🌸 🎉 🎶 .... try updating today!
Breakout rooms are sub-meetings within the Zoom call. You can join any of the breakout rooms once you've entered the main meeting. In the toolbar of your Zoom window, look for the button with four little squares.
The Breakout room chooser pops up when you click the "Breakout Rooms" button.
Windows users will see a "join" button for each room.
Mac users: hover over the number next to the room name to see the join button. (It's weird.)
These features look somewhat different on iPads, smartphones, etc. Don't panic! Your faithful tech staff will be in the main tent to help you.
HINT: Update Zoom ⚡️
Breakout rooms are a newer feature. Update your Zoom software to make sure they work for you.
