“If we don’t tell our stories, who will? And if not now, when?” —Preface, Vol. I: (a) river rising: Anthology of Women’s Voices
SUBMIT NOW FOR ANTHOLOGY, FALL ART SHOW
You’ve done the work. Now, submit!
Submissions now open for our annual anthology and our fall art exhibition
Dear friend:
It’s been a terrific year of art and writing as we’ve explored the themes of RIVERS (Fall 2021) and OCEANS (Spring 2022). If you’ve been a writer or an artist during that time (or in previous semesters), you’re eligible to submit for our fourth annual anthology, (a) river rising: Anthology of Women’s Voices(Rivers and Oceans edition). And congratulations to Chiqui Chua, our new managing editor!
Just click HERE to get all the details on Submittable. Submissions on the theme are due July 8, 2022 (one week earlier this year!). Remember: It doesn't have to be perfect. We will work with you. HOWEVER, we highly suggest that you take our upcoming class on how to prepare your work for (any) publication!
Meanwhile...looking ahead...are you an artist with a strong sense of justice? Then start developing your piece for our upcoming fall art exhibition, AND JUSTICE FOR ALL. We’ve all recited that line faithfully during the Pledge of Allegiance at school but...co-curator Marsha Hatcher (with Annelies Dykgraaf) wonders, “How could a system designed for all omit so many? So what does “…And Justice for ALL” really mean?
We’d love to get your P.O.V. on that. Please submit work by August 14. All details on Submittable. Just click HERE.
Hope to see you and your work soon!
Cheers,
—Jennifer Wolfe
