Retired NFL Players, Families, and Advocates,
As I think most of you know, most of my work on behalf of retired players over the last couple of years has been taking place behind the scenes and as such, the blog has only been infrequently updated. I feel badly that the journalism aspect of Advocacy for Fairness in Sports has decreased, but this is in large part due to the time it takes working quietly to try to move the needle for retired players and their families.
Because of this, I wanted to send you a special invitation to participate in an informal Zoom meet-up. During the meeting, I’ll be updating you on some developments in the concussion settlement and NFL disability and of the work I’ve been pursuing on behalf of the retired NFL community. While some of this work is confidential (another reason I’ve been mostly out of sight) there is quite a bit I can share, including a special guest that I'm sure will be of interest,
Afterward, the floor will be open for your questions and concerns which I’ll do my best to address. If we have good participation and people let me know they like communicating through Zoom, I’ll try to schedule more events like this.
There will be two meetings on Wednesday, June 8, one of which hopefully will fit with your schedule. The afternoon meeting is set for 3:30-5:00 pm and the evening meeting from 7:00 – 8:30 pm Eastern Time. Just click the links below to receive information to join the Zoom meeting at the time that is more convenient for you.
