This Week's Local Programming Highlights ...
Local Collaboration Hopes to Help Ukrainian Children
Dr. Linda Thomson is not just a nurse practitioner & clinical hypnotherapist; she’s also a children’s book author. Her ongoing series “Harry the Hypnopotamus” is a collection of stories aimed at helping kids cope with anxiety & stress. Together with illustrator Jane Hart, she has now completed her latest book the series. This special edition of "Harry Goes to Save the Children" is aimed at helping children in Ukraine, and was brought into the Okemo Valley TV studio to create a multi-media version, which is being distributed overseas in a time of great need. Read in Ukrainian by Svetlana Phillips, with English text.

Legislative Wrap-Up w/ Windsor Co. Senators
The 3 State Senators for the Windsor County District - Alison Clarkson, Dick McCormack, & Alice Nitka - recently visited the studio. We recorded a discussion among the three, who provided a summary on the legislative session, which recently adjourned. They offer additional thoughts on the end of this historic biennium in the VT legislature, which mostly involved having to legislate remotely. They also briefly discuss their plans for the future.
"100 Years of Everest" at EBSR
Mountaineer, author, photographer, filmmaker, & UN Ambassador Jake Norton provides a presentation on the history of mountaineering expeditions on Mount Everest, including tales from his own expeditions on the tallest mountain in the world. The presentation was in partnership with the Expeditionary School at Black River. Head of School Kendra Rickerby introduces Jake.
Memorial Day
Ludlow's Memorial Say parade & ceremonies were once again  organized & presented by the American Legion Hobart-Ballard Post 36. Pat Moore volunteered to provide some video coverage of the event, which we are able to share with you here -  Ludlow Memorial Day Parade.  Thanks, Pat!

Each month we provide coverage of regular government meetings including Selectboards, Planning Commissions & School Boards. Local meetings are televised everyday on the Education / Gov't channel (Comcast 1086 & Vtel 167),  starting at 6pm (and repeating the following day at 12am, 7am, & 1pm). The channel is now streaming 24/7, so you don't even need cable TV to "tune in". All meetings can also be viewed, "on demand", on our website.
