Happy Pride from your BAAITS Family

We know Pride is more than a month, it's a daily journey. We're grateful for the opportunity to serve you throughout the year not only with our annual powwow, but by partnering with local and nationwide events that celebrate Queer BIPOC folx. As always, we honor their activism, bravery and courage. It is our commitment to you that we continue offering culturally relevant activities for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals of Native American ancestry, and their families and friends, for many years to come. Happy Pride!

The San Francisco Pride Parade is Sunday, June 26, and BAAITS is once again celebrating as a marching contingent. If you're in the area, we could use your help: 1- We need Two-Spirit folx who wish to join us riding on the float! 2- We need volunteers as contingent monitors to walk alongside the float. (You must watch the video below and agree to the duties being asked of you.) If interested in joining or volunteering, please email Jim Eagle.

BAAITS Electric Powwow is coming 10/9/22!

Join us for our first-ever Electric Powwow on Sunday, October 9. Music, entertainment, and an Indigenous Market are a sampling of experiences you can expect at this in-person event in Gallery 308 at Fort Mason Center, San Francisco. All are welcome. Stay tuned for more details!

Bay Area American Indian Two-Spirits (BAAITS) exists to restore and recover the role of Two-Spirit people within the American Indian/First Nations community by creating a forum for the spiritual, cultural and artistic expression of Two-Spirit people. To that end, BAAITS is committed to offering culturally relevant activities for LGBT individuals of Native American ancestry and their families and friends.
