Hello summer camp friends and families,

Two important things to share with you today ~
1. There are just a few openings in a couple of camp sessions!
2. We have $4,000 of matching funds on the table for this year's Scholarship Fund
If we can meet that match, we should be able to fund every qualified scholarship request this year!
Please spread the word and help us find a few more kids for Queer Youth & Girls Rites of Passage and Music Camp.

And do keep in mind ~ it's always worth joining the waitlist for any full session. Often by the time we have an opening, all of the other kids on the waitlist have made other plans. And we expect a higher-than-usual rate of cancellations as we continue to navigate these shifty times!
This year, we're keeping our scholarship fundraising super simple.

We're committed to holding space for kids who need financial assistance to come to camp.  We believe the transformative, empowering, nourishing experience of Ekone should be available to all.  And we need your support to make that possible.

In years past, we've done elaborate fundraisers for camp scholarships, in person and online, to share the story of Ekone's powerful impact on children and the importance of making it equitably accessible.

This year, our staff has had some personal emergencies, we're going full tilt with spring programs, and we are simply stretched.  Our plans for an online dessert auction just weren't realistic (or humanly possible).

Would you be willing to support Ekone's scholarship fund, even without all the bells and whistles of a fancy fundraiser?  Your YES will let us say YES to a child who is hungry for an Ekone experience.  And keeping it simple will let us keep our focus on the kids.

Three loyal scholarship fund donors have teamed up with a $4,000 match in support of this approach, to double your impact.

Here's an eloquent 43 seconds from an Ekone camper about why this is so important.

Making camp accessible is SO important to us.  We hope you agree.

On behalf of the kids, deep gratitude for your support.

With love,
Shonie & the camp crew.
