Yet one-third do not enjoy a safe and healthy childhood, one in five lives in poverty, and suicide remains a leading cause of death for children aged 10 to 14. And the COVID-19 pandemic has made a bad situation worse.

When kids thrive, Canadians thrive.

On June 7 at 12 p.m. ET, Children First Canada (CFC) is pleased to host a special high-level event to catalyze investments in children and youth in collaboration with the Coalition for a Better Future. The event aims to mobilize public and private sector resources to reverse the damaging impacts of the pandemic on kids.

“The Grand Challenge” – presented by the Young Canadians’ Parliament (YCP) about the devastating impacts of COVID-19 on all 8 million kids in Canada
Q&A session with members of Parliament, moderated by members of the YCP
Special investment spotlights from corporate executives
Fireside chat moderated by a 13-year-old journalist
Interactive panel discussion with leading experts and youth
