Owl Book Group
Friday, June 24 | 10:30am-12pm | Zoom

Join us virtually this month to discuss Klara and The Sun by Kazuo Ishiguro.

From her place in the store that sells artificial friends, Klara — an artificial friend with outstanding observational qualities — carefully watches the behavior of those who come in to browse, and of those who pass in the street outside. She remains hopeful a customer will soon choose her, but when the possibility emerges that her circumstances may change forever, Klara is warned not to invest too much in the promises of humans. Klara and the Sun explores the fundamental question: what does it mean to love?

This event will be held online via Zoom. If you already receive e-mail from the Owl Book Group, you'll receive a link for this meeting a few days before the event.

If you're new, welcome! Please e-mail askuscml@wccls.org to receive a link for the event a few days before it happens.

The group typically meets on the last Friday of each month. Newcomers are always welcome!
