Here’s a few photos from magCulture Live in NYC. Hosted by ACE Hotel Brooklyn, it was great to talk about Direction of Travel and meet the other magazines presenting that day which included New York Times Magazine, Interview, The Paris Review, Balcony, Gossamer, Banana, Mother Tongue and Happy David from Casa Magazines. Special thanks to Jeremy from magCulture for inviting me.

Airport picture

For decades I have been making work about flying. Direction of Travel is one such project. Other projects include a long running portrait of the villages surrounding Heathrow airport. Another are observations from airports around the world, following in the footsteps of Fischli & Weiss.

Hong Kong International Airport

Salzburg, waiting to board in 2016. The plane taking off in the distance is from Air Berlin, now extinct. I love the colour coordinated vehicles in use here, surrounding the British Airways Airbus tending to her every need while passengers disembark.
