Principal's Message

Good Morning Sea Lion Families,

Last week was filled with such enthusiasm that it was hard to contain. Thank you to all the parents of ICC for creating such a memorable experience for our students. Teachers and students learned the history and culture of Mexico, China, South Africa, France, India, and Egypt. Our school was truly immersed in each international cultural experience.

There was also a lot of enthusiasm for field day! McGaugh’s field day was an opportunity for our sea lions to get out, play, compete, and otherwise exercise with so much fun! With so many activities to choose from, McGuagh’s field day allowed all students of different grades, interests, and ability levels to team together. Thank you, Mr. Steve Miller and PTA, for making it happen!

From the first day of school until the last, we have kept up an exceptional spirit on our campus, and it has been my joy and honor to walk through each moment with you.  As we enter the last week, let’s encourage our students to be mindful of maintaining our RAH behaviors as we’re all looking forward to the end of the year activities and 5th-grade promotion.

That's all for now!

McGaugh PTA Board Wishes You a Wonderful Summer Break!

McGaugh Families,

The McGaugh PTA Board thanks you for an incredible school year!  We have been so grateful for the outpouring of support and positivity that our school community brought to our students and campus this year in the way of events, fundraisers and school support.  If you want to see McGaugh in Pictures for all the PTA has done this year, please visit here

In fact, we’re excited to announce that the McGaugh PTA will be gifting approximately $60,000 in investments made in the wellness of our students and campus in the form of music and physical fitness.  Here’s a rough breakdown that we shared in last week’s PTA Meeting:

Music (Ms. Rebecca Bacich)

  • Roll out of an all new Strings/Violin Program by purchasing 40 new violins to be used in all music classes 3rd -5th grade (first in the district!)
  • Orff Method Instruments and instruction (grades 1st – 5th)
  • Maintenance of instruments and storage

Physical Wellness
  • Installation of a permanent Gaga Ball Court on campus this summer
  • PE/sports equipment requested by the teachers

Classroom Supplies
  • Magnetic Whiteboards from Lakeshore Learning for all students/classes on campus
  • Positive Behavioral Intervention Systems (PBIS) books/mentor texts for teachers

The remainder of the gift will be rolled over to the new 2022-2023 PTA Executive Board for additional improvements and enhancements for the next school year.

It has been such an honor and pleasure to serve as McGaugh’s PTA president.  Thank you for all of your kind words, support and help you’ve given to me over the past 10 months.  I’ve enjoyed getting to know so many more families, staff and students, which I’ll cherish forever.  I wish the new PTA President, Jennifer Katz and the 2022-2023 PTA Board all of the best and I’ll be right here if you need me!

Hope you all have a wonderful summer break.

See you in August!

Thank you,
Denyse Rabbat
