GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD, FOR HE IS GOOD;
HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER!
GREETINGS FROM COFRADIA, MEXICO!
I remember back in 1991 on a Short-term Mission trip while we were on a dirt road of a new housing development in the then outskirts of Mazatlán called "Ampliación" (Expansion) performing dramas, sharing testimonies, and ministering to the people who came to the outreach. It was only one of the many times the Lord touched my heart about Mexico. So much so that I couldn't help myself. I went into the small one room shack that was the church while the message of Christ was being preached in the street, knelt down at the altar all alone and cried my heart out...almost literally. I remember it hurting a lot. A definite confirmation of a calling the Lord placed on my heart two years prior. I walked away with a heavy burden to be a pastor in Mexico. Little did I know that I would be a pastor to pastors. It's not always easy to live here; that white towel sure does look tempting sometimes. Nevertheless, until He tells us otherwise, we will be pastors to pastors.
"The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few." We are praying and believing for the right people to join us on the mission field. There are so many opportunities to serve. I'm working on a number of different job descriptions and would love to invite you to be part of what's happening in a tangible, physical way. We believe there is a married couple out there that has been called to missions. This is a great opportunity to serve and to grow! Please contact me for more details. I will be posting these needs at our website soon.
Thank you for praying for the situation with our ministry's 501c3. Our relationship with Family Renewal Ministries has changed from a temporary bridge to an indefinite home. Our partnership with them will continue to allow us to receive Short-term Mission teams and tax-deductible donations for the projects and pastors of the Cofradía United Ministries. We will be setting up a Cofradía United Ministries website soon and hope to make online donations accessible.
