First and foremost, we want to thank you for your interest in Scarborough History and the Scarborough Historical Society. According to our records, you haven’t joined the Society as a member. We are reaching out to ensure you know about membership in the Society and its benefits, such as our newsletter, Owascoag Notes.

The Society’s mission is to collect, preserve, and exhibit items of historical significance to Scarborough. Your membership and donations help the Society maintain our museum and protect our many artifacts and documents. You will also receive an e-copy of Owascoag Notes, the Society’s newsletter.

Because of COVID, many of our traditional fundraising activities have been curtailed. Consequently, your membership and donation form the primary source of support for the museum, which features artifacts and displays showing Scarborough’s history and a small historical and genealogical research facility.

To join the Society, please visit our Membership Page and select the membership type you prefer to join the Society. (You can pay with either PayPal or a Credit/Debit Card.) To join using USPS, please print our U.S. Mail Membership Form, complete the form, and mail it with payment to Scarborough Historical Society, P.O. Box 156, Scarborough. ME 04070-0156.
