Join us for a celebration of the life and work of the late Professor Tyler Stovall, a leading Black historian of France who broke barriers in the field by challenging conventional notions of a colorblind French society.

8:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.: Tribute and Remembrances (online and in person)

If you are interested in the answers to these questions, join us for Conversations on Consciousness, a series of discussions hosted by Columbia University Professor Alfredo Spagna and Columbia Global Centers | Paris. Professor Spagna will speak with internationally recognized scientists from the Paris Brain Institute on the most recent discoveries in neuroscience, detailing how the brain makes us who we are.

This 90-minute interactive workshop will address how gender roles and definitions affect each of us, the costs of inequality and benefits of equality, and how we can change the status quo for the better.
