Celebrating Youth and Education Across Lorain County! |

June 2022 |
“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”―Eleanor Roosevelt |
| As I write this, I feel a true sense of gratitude and hope. It is a time to say goodbye to another school year and the season of graduations, but also a time to be inspired by the resilience and dreams of our young people. Social media timelines adorned with smiling graduates, moving commencement speeches, and ambitious plans for the next chapter in their lives remind me that our future is in good hands. |
I am especially thankful for the educators, administrators, supportive families, and organizations that have fostered and supported our young people over their journey to adulthood. It no doubt takes a village, and our village is strong and caring. |

Giving on Autopilot |
| Whether it is something that you pay monthly, quarterly or annually, memberships or subscriptions have proliferated our lives. There is ease in knowing that you can “set and forget” these payments. Did you know the same could be done with your charitable giving? Recurring giving can be a great way to connect you to your causes that matter on a consistent meaningful basis. |

Vincent Washington lives in the Houston Texas area, but grew up in the Wilkes Villa community of Elyria. Before retiring from the Army, he contemplated how he could best give back to his hometown community. A few years later, while participating in a virtual event with the African American Community Fund, he was inspired by the legacy created by endowments at Community Foundation of Lorain County. |
