Mask Making and Song Share this Sunday

We have added two new activities to Riverbank Heritage Day this Sunday from 12 to 6 in Stanley Bridge.

Come and celebrate Riverbank Heritage Day with The River Clyde Pageant and the Trout River Environmental Committee! Get your hands dirty in river mud as we shape masks from clay and cardboard or learn some new songs as we share some of our favourite rounds, harmonies and folk tunes.

Riverbank Heritage Day will be held on June 12th in celebration of Canadian Rivers Day, located outside of Carr's Oyster Bar in Stanley Bridge. We will have talks and movies about rivers, crafts and other activities, food and drink, watershed and wildlife displays, and much more.

CLAY MOULD MASK-MAKING, 12pm - 1pm:
Discover how to sculpt beautiful shapes out of river clay and take home your very own mask. Sharing their extensive knowledge in puppetry and scenography, River Clyde Pageant artists will be leading participants through a time-honoured crafting technique that is used by puppeteers around the world. Registration is required. Ages 8 and up.

SONG SHARE, 1pm - 1:30pm:
Share your voice with us and learn some new melodies in an informal, open song circle. Open to all experience levels. No registration required.

See our website https://troutriverec.ca for details on how to sign up for mask making.

Hope you can come along!
