This Saturday, join us at Firemen's Park between 12-4PM to celebrate the environment - rain or shine! 

The PenFinancial Mother Earth Day event includes interactive environmental and health focused demonstrations, and access to dozens of earth-friendly local businesses and organizations.

This giant community garage sale takes place on June 18th, between 8AM - 12PM, at the Gale Centre (5152 Thorold Stone Road). It is a great opportunity for sellers and buyers alike.

60+ Adults Open House June 22

It's Senior's Month in Ontario, and what better time is there to explore the 60+ Older Adult Programs at the MacBain Community Centre? Pop by our open house on Wednesday, June 22nd, between 10AM and 1PM at 7150 Montrose Road, to explore the facility, view a variety of programs in action, and meet the Niagara Falls Seniors Advisory Committee (SAC.)

Enjoy program demonstrations, including:

  • Aquafit
  • TRX (Total Resistance Training)
  • Euchre
  • Clogging
  • Tai Chi
  • Pickleball
  • Music circle
  • Cribbage
  • DaVinci Stick
  • And more...

Free bus transportation will be provided by Niagara Falls Transit between 9:30AM and 2:30PM to those 60+ wishing to attend. Attendees will also receive a free one week pass to the program!

Come mingle and explore the many recreational activities the 60+ Adult Programs at the MacBain Community Centre have to offer.

Outdoor Community Pool Update
Keep Cool this Summer

Looking to make a splash this summer? Keep cool and stay active at one of five of Niagara Falls' outdoor pools. The City's outdoor pools will be open for the summer on Thursday, June 30.

Niagara Falls Outdoor Pools 
  • E.E Mitchelson Park - 3800 Springdale Avenue
  • Prince Charles Pool - 6320 Arad Street
  • F.H. Leslie Pool - 5250 Valley Way
    • Note: F.H. Leslie Pool will be open for the weekend of June 25-26
  • Niagara Falls Lions Pool - 4981 Drummond Road
  • Buck Hinsperger Pool -- 3970 Welland Street
Whether you're looking for lessons, a playful open swim, or to enjoy aqua-fit and lane swim in the sun, community pools offer something for everyone.

Summer swimming lessons are also around the corner at and E.E. Mitchelson Pool and the MacBain Community Centre (indoors.) Starting June 15th at 9AM, residents can register online for lessons that begin July 4th. Customers can now browse offerings, program levels and costs online at ActiveNet.

Canada Day Parade 2022
Celebrate with Us

Kick off your Canada Day festivities with this year's annual parade, taking place on Friday, July 1st from 11AM to 12:30PM, in the heart of downtown Niagara Falls. 

Project Share will be collecting donations along the parade route- don't forget to bring your non-perishable food items!

Interested in participating?  
  • Parade Entries: Any group interested in participating in the parade is required to fill out the Application Form
    • Entry deadline now June 10th
  • Volunteers: Community members looking to volunteer are asked to fill out the Parade Volunteer Form.

Market Days at MacBain

Join us this Saturday between 7AM and 1PM, rain or shine, at the MacBain Community Centre for all of the freshest locally grown produce, including in-season delights like strawberries, rhubarb and asparagus! Our best local farmers, growers, makers and bakers will be set up each week for the community to enjoy.

Niagara 2022 Summer Games
Niagara Falls Torch Relay

Prior to every Canada Games, a Torch Relay takes place across part of the country, with the hope to inspire Canadians to embrace the outdoors, discover the diversity of the land, and enhance their well being. This year's games take place between August 6-21, and the torch is already on it's way to Niagara!

Join the celebration, and showcase your community pride, for our leg of the Relay, taking place on June 26th.

Mountainview LemonAID Day
Mountainview LemonAID Day gives children and families the opportunity to set up their own stand to sell lemonade and donate all of the proceeds to FACS Niagara to send kids to camp. Register now to set up your own stand on June 12th. For more information, visit facsniagarafoundation.org.

Summer Trillium Recognition Program
Nominations are open! The Summer Trillium Recognition program challenges residents to enhance their curbside appeal while utilizing basic horticultural and environmental considerations. Enter or nominate someone you know by July 1st at niagarafalls.ca.
Niagara Region's Adopt-a-Road Program
Adopt-a-Road is a public service program that allows volunteers to pick up litter along certain Regional rights-of-way. Under the program, groups and individuals agree to adopt a section of a Regional right-of-way and keep it clean. To participate, visit niagararegion.ca
