Dear FBC Friend,

July Fourth is the day we celebrate our nation's independence and we give thanks for our freedoms
: freedom of speech, freedom of worship, freedom from want, and freedom from fear. Norman Rockwell's freedom series was a great reminder of the value and cost of those freedoms during the early days of World War II. The United States of America was founded on biblical principles of justice, equality, and freedom. But the most important freedom we can find is spiritual freedom - freedom from sin and death. Only Jesus Christ offers that. As we celebrate our freedoms, remind your family that God is the true source of freedom, peace, and hope.

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
John 8:36 ESV

Our Quarterly Ministry & Business Meeting is July 27th.
ALL members should plan to be there to hear about the great things the Lord is doing in and through our church. One important item for approval will be the Central Christian Academy budget for the upcoming 2022-23 school year. You can pick up the reports on the Sunday before the meeting (July 24) to be prepared.

The Crown & The Cross
The life of Jesus Christ and the Gospel is presented in a different way in each of the four Gospel books. Mark wanted people to see Jesus as the promised Messiah, the rightful king, worthy of all honor and praise. He also made sure readers saw the purpose of Jesus' going to the cross to complete God's master work of redemption.  You can read Mark chapters 10 and 11 to be prepared or watch some of the past sermons on our website.

Growth Groups
Do you want to grow deeper in your faith and want to get to know more people? Try out a Growth Group!

With several locations and different days and times, there is a place for you. Pick one of our groups this month and go check it out. Growth Groups meet in the homes of our church members. We enjoy eating and talking together; a time of bible study or sermon discussion; and a time of prayer. You will get to know people on a deeper level, build more friendships, and benefit from the encouragement.

Youth Group
Our youth group (grades 6-12) gathers on Sunday mornings for Bible study and fun together. Our students also get together for Youth Group on some Friday nights each month or special Saturday events. If you would like to host a monthly youth group event at your home or you would like to help contribute snacks and supplies please contact the church office.

Missions of the Month
Our missions focus for the month of July is Life's Key with director Tim Priano. Tim was here on June 26 to share some major shifts in the way the ministry will deliver bible studies in the future. Please be in prayer and let Tim know you care lifeskeyministry@gmail.com.

Central Christian Academy Update
CCA is our biggest outreach ministry to serve our local community. We need several new teachers for the fall. If you know of anyone who loves the Lord and might be interested, please direct them to the CCA website.  Praise God for this ministry to our local community!
