NORRAG Social Systems Map
NORRAG is taking a step forward to strengthen the connections between its 5,000+ network members from diverse sectors in 171 countries. Our new Social System Map will allow NORRAG members to map their existing connections, as well as find new connections based on common interests, geographic regions or thematic expertise. In addition, the mapping tool allows you to visualise the network and filter it in the ways that are most useful to you.
This new platform is being made for you and with you. To include yourself in this new NORRAG Network map, please click the Make new connections button below and watch this quick introductory video showing how to make the most of the network map. Soon, a team of regional coordinators will join us to support the network in becoming more connected and active together! (See Job Announcement below.)

Job announcement: 4 Regional Network Coordinators
NORRAG is hiring 4 new part-time Regional Network Coordinators, in (1) Africa (2) Asia and the Pacific, (3) Europe and North America, (4) Latin America and the Caribbean. Under the stewardship of the Regional Network Coordinators, NORRAG will forge connections between network members in the regions, amplify their voices and perspectives, and host events to share and amplify their expertise. 15 June 2022: Girls' Education: Counting the Uncounted
NORRAG, the KIX Europe I Asia I Pacific Hub and the Gender Centre at the Geneva Graduate Institute are organising an online webinar on 15 June 2022 at 12:30-14:30 (CEST/Geneva). This event is also the 14th webinar in the KIX EAP Webinar series and will explore the problem of gender inequality in education, an enduring issue that needs urgently to be solved. 24 June 2022: The digitalisation of education and its impact on the right to education
This side event of the Human Rights Council, organised by the Special Rapporteur on the Right to Education and NORRAG, celebrates the launch of the Special Rapporteur's report on the digitalisation of education. NORRAG contributed to this report by organising six Expert Consultations for the Special Rapporteur. At this event, we will hear from contributing experts and NORRAG will launch a multi-disciplinary collection, “Policy Insights: the Digitalisation of Education.”

Call for Contributions: NSI 08: The Education-Training-Work Continuums: Pathways to socio-professional inclusion for youth and adults
Discontinuities between the fields of education, training and work create many problems for learners of any age. These sectors operate on the assumption that an individual progresses on a straight and linear path from basic education to professional training, and on to work – hopefully to decent work. And that each of these steps takes place in a dedicated sphere. Unfortunately, existing discontinuities between the three fields have often impacted underprivileged people who do not have the resources to face the dire consequences these have on their lives (such as inequalities and exclusion). Executive Education programme on Innovative Financing for Education gets accreditation for Certificate for Advance Studies
The Executive Education programme on Innovative Financing for Education is now accredited by the Geneva Graduate Institute as a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS). The first programme (which will be launched in January 2023) draws on case studies developed with funding from swissuniversities and from the experience with graduate-level courses in Innovative Financing for Education, taught by Dr Arushi Terway. The course will be taught in collaboration with UNESCO-IIEP and other institutional partners who expressed an interest to fund scholarships for interested CAS participants.

Announcing NORRAG Special Issue 07: Education in Times of Climate Change
The seventh edition of NORRAG Special Issue (NSI) is entitled "Education in Times of Climate Change". NSI 07 is guest-edited by Distinguished Professor Heila Lotz-Sisitka, Environmental Learning Research Centre Rhodes University, South Africa and Professor Eureta Rosenberg, Environmental Learning Research Centre Rhodes University, South Africa. It will be launched in September on NORRAG website and social media channels.

Synthesis note: KIX EAP Learning Cycle 2 on equitable access to education with geospatial data
This case study is a result of the KIX EAP Learning Cycle "Equitable access to education with geospatial data". Organised by NORRAG and the UNESCO International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP), this professional development course ran from 15 June to 16 July 2021. 10 national teams from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Kyrgyz Republic, Maldives, Moldova, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, and Sudan took part in this Learning Cycle.

Synthesis note: KIX EAP Learning Cycle 1 on feasibility studies on scaling innovations
This case study is a result of the KIX EAP Learning Cycle “Feasibility Studies on Scaling Innovation”. Organised by NORRAG and the Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Education (NUGSE), this skills- and outcomes-oriented course ran from September 2020 to January 2021. Nine teams of educational sector experts from Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan took part in this Learning Cycle.
