Dr. Robert Flake Chambliss, Jr.
Memorial Service Friday, June 17 at 3:00 pm
Flake Chambliss was born in Tampa in 1938 and joined the church eternal May 28, 2022. He was active in the community, a veterinarian at Tampa Veterinary Hospital until his retirement in 2008, and a lifelong member of HPPC. Click here for more information.

Birthday Bags for Guardian ad Litem
Balloons and Frosting and Cake, Oh My!
A small but mighty group of boys and girls, men and women from our congregation packed 50 Birthday Kits for the Guardian ad Litem Program to use for children they serve. Each bag contained cake mix, frosting, birthday plates and napkins, candles, balloons and a birthday card. Great job, friends!!
Guardian Ad Litem – or GALs – is an organization that fights to protect and advocate for children. You may have recently seen local mother Katie McCarey in a segment on FOX 13 about newborns who are substance exposed or victims of abuse that have been taken away from their family situation. In anticipation of World Swallowtail Day on June 12th, it’s fitting that The Little Red Wagon Nursery's butterfly of the month is the Giant Swallowtail. With a wingspan that can exceed 6 inches, the Giant Swallowtail is the largest butterfly native to Florida and one of the largest in the United States.
Little Red Wagon is located on Henderson Blvd, so check out their events for National Pollinator Week and pick up a native plant and garden accessories for the garden-loving dad.
